Sort of like the Random Useless Thoughts thread but instead of one or two lines, a stream of consciousness~Let everyone know
what's on your mind...
I'll start--I'm not shy, or proud...
Last summer I went to my cousin's wedding in Maryland. I took a picture of my grandmother's steps. My cousin, being a photographer and graphic artist
had taken a similar picture. Hers, of course, was more professional looking, but I digress. So, I was thinking, later, that I should have had my
picture taken on the steps. Because, who knows when I'll get another chance, right?? Then I thought, y'know what would be really cool?? I could get a
pram (look it up) and push it down the stairs just like in The Battleship Potemkin
But where would I get a pram?? Damn near everywhere, as it turns out. But what would I do with it afterwards?? And what would the trip down the stairs
do to it??
I think I'm going to take a nap

Okay so I did it Pen, I looked it up and I get "a flat-bottomed, snub-nosed boat used as a fishing vessel or tender for larger vessels." I think you
could still use it as a huge sled for neighborhood kids in the winter. *shrug*

well it says that too when you look it up at dictionary.com. It says that and then perambulator but if you scroll down further it says the one I posted above.

I know the car is leaking coolant, I see it drip out all the time - it seems to leak a uneven amount. I'm hoping that means the problem will be easily
fixed.

Hey Nica, I did that, once or twice... I had a plastic boat about nine feet long...took it sledding down the street, bounced off a telphone pole and ended up in someone's yard.

Once, when the wind blew really hard, our t.v. antenna ended up in someone's yard, of course that was back when we actually needed an antenna. The
satellite dish stays put no matters how hard the wind blows, which is good since it's anchored to our roof and if it went, part of the roof would, too. Our
neighbors to the right have three cows.

It figures that one day after I decide I don't need an in ground radio fence for my dogs, because I've been letting them off the lead and they've
been so good about staying right in the yard (So I returned the fence) - That my older dog would run across the street into a field that I am fairly certain
was just planted with winter wheat and heavily fertilized, then back across the street and into the neighbor's pasture. The pup, who never strayed from my
side, ran in the other direction, to the other neighbor's pasture and became completely and utterly focused on the smell and taste of a cow pattie.
Needless to say, we'll be reordering.

There is a fire in Corona - right about where the flooding was three years ago. I don't think we are in any danger, and I wonder why that area of the city
seems to get the bad stuff.

I hope you are alright debbie- we hear a lot of scary stuff on the news; they are talking about firey winds of hurricane force. Hopefully it won't go any
further and sounds like you are in a safe place- but please evacuate if you need to, nothing's more important than you.

The lecturer in my weekend seminar said that the US stock market has much further to fall, the US dollar will substantially weaken over the next year and
central banks around the world would simultaneously rebase inflation back to 100 within two years.
Ha! I dunno, but I thought the last bit was funny and I'd say "Ha!". (I didn't say it during the lecture, though). |
